New Comment Posting Policy

While I am a firm believer of the interchange of ideas between blogger and readers, it appears some people are using their ability to respond to posts anonymously for their own agenda.  As a result, you will no longer be able to post anonymously.

In order to be fair to all, including you, the reader of this blog, there are two options for posting to VFTRG; you may use Disqus for posting comments or you may log on using your Facebook, Google, or Twitter account.

Of course, if you are a person who just reads but doesn't comment, nothing changes for you.

What's involved?

There are two options.

Option #1 - Create or use an existing Disqus account

You will need to create a Disqus account if you don't already have one (you can do that when you attempt to post). When you create your account you will need to provide your name.  Use your full name, only your first name, a nickname, it's your choice.  The goal is  that you take some type of ownership for your comments.

Once you have a Disqus account, you will be able to post comments.  If you are not logged in to Disqus, you will have to log in, either directly to Disqus or if you prefer, you may link your Disqus account to your Facebook, Twitter, or Google account and then as long as your are logged in to the application of your choice, you will be able to post as before. Comment moderation remains in effect.

Option #2 - Use your Facebook, Twitter, or Google ID

If you rather not use Disqus, you may click on 'Sign-In' and use Facebook, Twitter, or Google to sign in.

I hope this change will make the blog more enjoyable to all.

Other Things to know:  If there are no comments for an entry, click on the entry title and you will then see the comment section at the end of the entry.  Also, all blog entries will be closed to comments seven days after the entry is posted.
