Tioga Downs’ World Driving Championship Races Drawn on Thursday

Tioga Downs will draw on Thursday, July 28 for the 2011 World Driving Championship (WDC) races, scheduled for Monday, August 1^st. The box will close at 9AM. The Sunday, July 31 races will also be drawn on that day as part of a double draw.

The WDC will span four races on the August 1^st card and will offer an enticing bonus to both owners and trainers participating in those events. The purses for all WDC races have been increased by 25% and trainers will vie for a $500 bonus to the winning trainer, $250 for second and $100 to all other places for the WDC races only on that day. All WDC races will be 10 horse fields, necessary to accommodate the 10 drivers participating in the event. Post time for the August 1^st race card will be 6PM.

The classes to be used and all other pertinent information may be found at the Tioga Downs website. Entries for the Thursday double draw will be accepted on Wednesday as well, please consider calling your entries in early as we expect heavy phone volume on Thursday morning.
