Monté Racing Heading to China?

The Southland Times in New Zealand is reporting twenty standardbreds which have been used for saddle races are heading to China along with twenty thoroughbreds and another twenty horses used for equestrian activities.  The Chinese Government has previously expressed an interest to introduce pari-mutuel horse racing to China where up to know racing has been limited to the former Portuguese colony of Macau, which is a special administration zone (similar to Hong Kong).

Anything which promotes the expansion of standardbred racing is good.  Who knows, one day we may have China competing in International races in North America?
